Our August inspiration ...
is going to be a
little different. This month our focus Creative Team member is Helene
Bogren and she will be leading us with a tutorial on one of the ways to
use mixed media on
your layout. She has produced this absolutely delightful
layout.
She has also provided us with an inspiration piece by Swedish artist C.O. Hultén entitled “Om färgernas mörkerseende” which can be translated as “Night Vision Colors”.

So this month
you have a choice ...
1.
You may use the tutorial and do a mixed media layout along the lines of
the one Helene has produced. You can make this as detailed as you like or
merely take parts of it what Helene has shown you (using mist, ink, acrylic
paint, gesso, modeling paste etc) in any way on the
background.
2. You may use the oil on
canvas painting by C.O. Hultén to inspire you
(think diamond shapes, grey, blue and peach tones or night-time
things).
or
3. You can combine them both and see where this takes
you.
